TENECOR is NO MORE

http://tenecor.com/

I learned this through Lifereef filter systems today. They went out about a wk ago. So if you own one of their tanks, you have no warranty through them. I purchased mine through fishtanksdirect.com, and doubt they'll uphold any warranty for a non existant business. But I'll contact them.

My whole experience with this purchase has been more like Dorothy
and the Great Powerful Wizzard of Oz. A big smoke screen from the start.

Due to economic conditions and recent events, Tenecor has been forced to shut its doors for good.

Tenecor is Permanently Closed for Business.

Yeh wow. But it was in the works according to their support issues
I've had with them.

I had a lifetime warranty at purchase
Then they rewrote the warranty to involve that if you did not
purchase a stand from THEM at purchase date, you had like a 30-90 day warranty against failure of the tank. Mine has warped on the bottom, and hope it's ok. Bought it 2 yrs ago, and been in dry dock till this summer.
They made it under spec, which I found out after the 30 days my chg card offers protection. Supposed to be 3/8" thick was 1/4" thick.
They swore I wanted to pinch and save a buck and cut corners.
At $950+, I don't think so.

Ouch! hope you guyz with warrenties, don't need them. At least this outfit toldthe consumer. About 5 yrs ago we had prepaid for a complete system from 'Aquariums for You'...~$10,000. After several emails and then phone call when the stated completion date had past by a month, we found out they closed up shop....never built our tank or any part of the system. Just as Japonicus, we paind by CC.....got it all back.

And the kicker was that this outfit Tenacore sent out a mass mailing to AFY's customer base indicating they would take care of their plans for tanks. I replied with some text that TRT will have ****'s for.

Too bad these companies can't hang on but it is kind of a sign of the times.
Thanks for the info.

Sorry to say but, it seems to have been that way for some time.
I could feel it in my fish bones. Had I realized when I took delivery that
only the top panel was in spec 3/8", I could have come back on them.
I recently offered to take a loss, and exchange for say 50% twards one
that was made correctly...no response. That's ok. I've never been concerned with the warranty. I mentioned in my build, that I told them "fish tank companies come and go, and Tenecor is no different, it's property damage I'm concerned with"

If I frop by for the chat tonight, I'm sure you'll hear that echoed again.
