Temperature Issue
My tank runs at 73 degrees without my heater being on. I have 5 powerheads in the tank and this is the temperature it always reads without the heater. As soon as I plug the heater in and set it to 76 degrees, my temperature elevates to 84 degrees. How come its climbing so high if im setting it to 76 degrees? This does not include the halides being on so im kinda worried...Dont have enough money to get a chiller right now

your heater probably isn't accurate.
try to set it lower until you find the right spot

Does the heater have a light on it that will tell you when it is on? Can you hear it clich on or off? If so you can get pretty close by moving the temp adjusting mechanism until the light goes on or clicks, then raise it 5 degrees from there, assuming the water is 73.

I think I figured this guy out. I set the temp on the heater to 72 degrees and it brought it down to 79 degrees and its been pretty consistent. I have an Ebo Jager so I dont know if most perform this way or if its a defect. Thanks for the help guys.

When I Put My Heater At 72 It Doesnt Even Come On! Its Like If It Was Unplugged! Doesn't Matter Much Though Because I Have To Keep My Temp Lower.
