Some times if you take the casing off the back you can adjust the temp.

I have one just like that one and it's only 1/2 degree high. I don't have one but pinpoint makes one and if it's anything like the other products it should be good. Not sure if it has a alarm though.

I almost bought that but figured I did not need a alarm but like to have one so i tried out a coralife temp gauge, it seemed accurate when tested but man on my 30g high tank it is fluncuationg a lot but slowly it can go from 78-81-82. It goes up in down in 10ths slowley just a lot. I never had a tank cjange temp this much id the temp guage is accurate. I am having to by a thermometer to just compare it to in the tank to see if its off or tank fluctuating to much. I use to keep my fish only tanks at 79 but reef use to keep at 81 but with this tank I am not sure were to put it due to fluntuations.

I use 3 of those pinpoint wireless thermometers all reading off of one monitor and like them. They will come to you off by as much as a couple degrees as well. No biggie....just do the icewater test and you will know how much they are off by and they read consistently.

You could actually do the icewater test with the ones you have Bucket Brigade and then just know when you read them how much they re off. I cant speak to whether they will read consistently ornot though
