You should always wash your hands thoroughly after handling anything in your tank.

not the point...you should wear thick gloves..if so much as 0.04 micrograms is floating in that water..& you have a cut that size..wich is smaller than a pen head i might add...your dead my friend

Amen to that. I once sliced the first knuckle of my index finger open on an unpolished glass (freshwater) tank top. I boiled it out and thought everything was fine until some kind of parasite (they never did id it) started growing there. I had what appeared to be a large tumor growing on that finger until several treatments of liquid nitrogen finally stopped it.

(Sorry if that grossed anybody out).
