Teeny tiny Tator Tots.....

Sorry, not really tator tots... it just popped into my head as I was typing and about made milk come out my nose..... ok, so I'm easily amused

Anyhow..... I had a green algae outbreak and turned the lights off to speed it's departure. Today when I turn the lights back on I discovered dozens of Teeny Tiny (hence the title) baby snails all over. I only had one snail period in the tank, a 1.5 inch turbo that does a good impression of a bull in a china shop. My question..... is this good? bad? If I want to keep these little guys, what should I do to guide and guard them on their journey to adult snailhood?

Thanks for any info.

Talking

I have a bunch of tiny snails in my 29 and nano. They came with some caulerpa that was on a piece of rock I bought about 5 months ago. They have multiplied (I think) and I know that there are at least 2 distinct spp. One type has creamy-white shells, the others are black. All have gotten to about to about 1/4" in length and the numbers seem to grow and shrink, but they are always on the eat/prowl, in both tanks. The snails in the nano came from caulerpa I transplanted from the big tank.
IMO they seem to be harmless - except of course to the algae.

Happy snail dance -

Had to have some beer too
