tank update and id question

i haven't posted a pic of my tank in what seems like forever. i had a failry major crash two months ago during a heatwave where i lost half of my coral so i'm just taking it slow trying to rebuild. also i got a canon 40d for my birthday so i'm having fun playing around with it a little.
i haven't updated much as far as equipment. i went from an oddysea skimmer to a MRC MR1, and finally to a euro reef CS6-2

full tank shot

some frog spawn i just got last week.. also what was sold as "blue ring dragon eyes" zoos on the right.

branching hammer also got last week

cali tort

green slimer.. how can you tell if it's a bali green slimer?

meteor shower... again how can you tell if it's a "brand name" atl meteor shower? i have about six of these frags.

orange cap and some zoos that i can't i.d.

um.. donno what this is either encrusting neon green monti?

more unknown zoos.

have no idea what this is. it's about the size of a dime and the pointy rock is it's skeleton. i lost more than half during a hot weekend.

more..

Maxima clam. can't figure out the white balance for this one on my camera

this was sold as LE monti Aquituberculata, but it sure as heck does look like a green monti cap. i was told that it would only grow nodules if it had the right water flow.

Great pictures, and there's no way of really knowing what's a "brand name" and what's not. It's mostly hogwash, but unless you know who it came from and trust their sources, there's no telling. I like the cali tort and green encrusting monti. and I bet you love that camera!

Looking good, the last coral in your first post is a Hydnophora or "Horn Coral" becareful where you put it, it grows very fast and stings very hard, I had to get rid of 10 pounds of rock to get it all out of my tank.

No doubt! I've got the 400D (XTi), which isnt quite as fancy, but a delight all the same. Now I'm trying to talk myself into the HG10 HD video camera. We'll see!

Very nice pictures. Congratulations on the new camera. It looks like you are recovering rather nicely from the crash as well.

Thanks everyone. just picked up more coral yesterday. gotta love trading corals. there's nothing better than keeping your wallet in your pocket.

have no idea what this is

donno what this is..

this one is supposed to be a milli, but i don't think so. also i mounted it upside down for some reason.

i could use some help on this one also. looks kinda like my cali tort, but not as green.

this one is in bad shape. the shrooms are just killing it. anyone know what it is?

okay. i think this might be green slimer, which makes me wonder what the other "green slimer" i have really is.

green toadstool not happy in my tank yet.

birds nest that was in really bad shape.

and a rock of xenia. don't know what to do with it.

all of that for a frag of Meteor Shower, Green Monti, and a few zoos.

Wow, it looks like you may have gotten the better end of that deal for sure.

Very nice looking corals. Sorry I can't help you with the ID on them.

The encrusting Montipora you aren't sure about looks like a Supernatural Monti. Got one last week:

Nice pics by the way

pic #2 looks to be Australian Delicate or Suharsonoi either way it is a deep water species. If the flesh greens up, i'm thinking Suharsonoi, if it doesn't and you just get the bright whitish/greenish polyps then probably Aus. Delicate or similar.

pic #3 Is some type of Birdsnest i am thinking

pic #4 is a Tricolor Acro stag. probably a Bali tricolor or Valida

Pic #5 looks like a tort of some type.. maybe Cali (depends on how it colors up

Pic #6 not Green Slimer, but a green acro of some type.. green slimers have the hue and vivid coloration that is about the same color as the polyps of the Monti that is right next to it in that pic
