tank size?

i have peppermints with eggs that you can find out more about under the breeding topic but not many help hits there so i came here trying to figure out what size would work. i have a 2.5 and a 5.5 but i like my pc lighting for my 5.5 and dont really want to use it for them any more would a 2.5 be ok. i thought if i keep up with WC it would be good. and it would make food finding for those guys not as hard. i can prob pick another 5.5 with pc lights for 30 and only about 20ish with no pc which i dont think those shrimp wil need pc anyways

i think i will just wait place a rio 50 in a 2.5 with some LR and some LS for these hatchlings and place a larger filter in my 5.5 for more flow maybe a penguin 150 but thats alot of filter for a 5.5

there is very little info about breeding shrimp. most crustaceans have a planktonic larval stage. it is extremely difficult to have good water quality and still keep plankton in the tank. skimmers are designed to remove plankton, therefor removing the larvae.

every now and then you can get a few to survive to adult head. these are just lucky.
