Tank Or Sump Orp

OK just doing some playing around with my ORP probe and I have a question.

Ideally I want my orp to be around 420
when my probe is in the sump it may read 420
but my display tank at that time is at 330

If i put the probe in the display ozone will kick in until the display reads 420 however then my sump is at 510!!!!!!!!!

I dont have anything in my sump but cheata. however I do have rock rubble that I use for copeopods. I think at 510 orp you get invertabrae death.
So what do I do?
what would you do?

i think that you are targeting a number insted of using it as a tool to let you know what is going on. number fixation is a fast way to get in trouble in a hurry. i would look at your tank and let it tell you what a good number is. if everything is healthy and growing good then stick with what is working.
