when i put my sailfin with my scopas, they showed aggression towards each other by trying to put their tails toward each other...I suspected that they were aiming the acanthus (sp?) at the base of their tails towards each other. this was confirmed when i came home one day to find a stab wound in the belly of my sailfin (not huge but about the size you would expect to come from an extended acanthus; the wound healed in about 3 days with no ill effects) and a nice clean cut (split) on my
scopas tang's tail. they have come to a truce now, but im sure it took some time to work out their territories.
hopefully your tangs are in love, and not at war
