Tang behavior

Ok i have a yellow tang and a kole tang. Latley they have started rubbing their bodies together. Not their fornt halfs but their rear tail halfs. They arent being aggresive. They never chase each other around. It isnt a fast violent motion but a slow rythematic motion. Is this how tangs exstablish dominance? Has anyone ever observed this? Or do my fish just have "Jungle Fever"?

LOL!!! That is funny!

Are you sure they are not being agressive?? They use that barb on their tails to slice and dice each other...

I guess u are right. They really look like they like each other but these are my first tangs so I have no experience to draw from. At least the babies will be cute. And it doesn't seem aggresive. It is very slow movement. I'm going to record it today and see if I can post it.

Wish my maroon would use her tail. My foxface has "hickies" all over him. You think he'd have learned to stay away from the maroons bubble but no. I still think it's funny watching a 2.5 inch clown intimidate a 7 inch fox.

From what I've seen in my brothers tank. Foxface are punks. They got all this potential to be a rapper and they act like peewee Herman.
