Bob, Where did you get the soundprofing for your cabinet. I like that idea! I have lots of pump noise and running water noises in my stand I would love to get rid of. I always wondered what I could do, then I saw your stand and said What a great idea!

Bob, I know what you're going through. I doubt that anyone that's even had to remove a DSB will ever want one again.

Tank looks great! I see you went with that invisible water look too.
Yea I think I'll send up smoke signals to guide him in.
Water.......... ooooops that's what I forgot. I better start filling it up now.

Kevin,
I bought the stuff from Target. It is sold as a mattress pad. I think a queen size pad is 15-20 dollars. Cut it with scissors and staple in place. It's not pretty but it does the job.

Yup it works. You may need a fan in the stand depending on how much equipment is in there. The foam also insulates and heat can build up. I didn't do the top of the stand, just the walls and doors.

when i was moving my 55g from house to house, i took all my rock out and corals and drained most of the water out, then caught all my fish. I couldnt find my lawmower anywhere. I thot he may have buried himself in the sand (do they do that?!) so i dredged the sand with my hands; no blenny. then once I had the tank back together at the new house, he turned up. I am convinced they are master hiders. hope yours rears his ugly (but in a cute way) head soon

Yeah, looks very cool! Hope the blenny is just hiding in a rock and made it. I think that orange monti digitata will come back in the spots that bleached, too. Me too - on wishing for a full shot of the tank. Fish all look delighted to be back in the tank!!

The only thing you should watch out for (which I'm STILL having problems with) is detritus coming from the old live rock (at least thats where I think mine is coming from). Even 6 months after changing to BB, and letting the LR "burp" in my old tank, there is still detritus coming from somewhere in my new setup (same rock). Just be sure to keep up with everything that comes out...assuming you are using the same LR.
