Taking down the tank

Well it's official, we're taking down the 150g. it's already been sold and it's coming down in the next week or two. My husband's getting transfered to his company's new location in Phoenix and it's just too much to move the tank with us. We're keeping the 50g frag tank, most of the corals, and our 2 clowns. We might set up a 40g and get a BTA for the clowns once we settle in. It makes me really sad to have to get rid of the tank, we put sooooo much work into it. Hopefully in a year or so we'll buy a house then get a nice 300g.

Yes is really stinks. If we had known they were opening so quickly we wouldn't have set up such a large tank. My husband didn't think they southwest location would be ready to open until next summer.

The next one will be better for sure! We now know what we do and don't like and what we'd do different for next time. Plus it'll be at least a 300g tank and bigger is always better. It'll be hard waiting so long fo a new tank though.

I do have one question. We really love our live rock, and it cost a fortune. If we take it out let it dry out and keep it for a year + I know it wont be "live" rock anymore but will it still be useable?

Thanx everyone! We're both really excited for the change. I'm going to Phoenix on Friday to look for apartments. I'll let you all know how it goes!
