Tahitian Blend w/ Kalkwasser???

I have some of the Tahitian Blend paste sold by Brine Shrimp Direct that I'd like to start dripping into my tank. I also drip Kalkwasser both in the morning and at night. I mix my kalkwasser in a 5 gallon polycarbonate container, but I drip the kalkwasser from a Rubbermaid picture. Has anyone ever mixed the Tahitian Blend in with their daily kalkwasser? If so, do you recommend doing this?

Please respond and thanks,

Dave

Hey TM Long time no see, glad youre back
Are you gonna make the NW Reefers Picnic??????????
Hope so
Any way as to the mixing Tahitian Blend and Kalk I dont think I would, the pH of Kal is like 12 and may cause undesirable effects, I think I would rig a seperate dripper, keep in mind it doesnt keep well at room temp

Hey Doug,

I tend to agree about the Tahitian Blend. I thought that I'd just ask and see if anyone may have had some first hand experience. I also sent a letter to BSD to ask them their opinion. I'll update the post when they reply.

Yes -- I'll make it to the picnic for a brief time. I travel to Portland for shopping about every 1.5 months and lately, I've been going with a fellow reefer from work. Since this is our trip date and since I have to be home before 4:00 pm (my night to cook dinner), I will probably only be able to stop by for about 1/2 hour or so. Maybe next year I can bring the family - my children are just too young this year.

So.. I'll see all you folks on the 18th.

Thanks for the reply;

Dave
