switching tanks...

i just got the 120 inside. its taking up WAY more room than i thought. so i wanna get the 46 out of the way as soon as possible, i originally planned on getting 50-75lbs of live rock. letting it cycle in tank, after all was done, putting all my rock and livestock in ontop of everything. but that would take a couple months of haveing 2 tanks taking up space. so what im thinking now, is getting 50-75lbs of base. letting it run a few days to make sure there isnt a cycle. then adding everything. is this an ok idea?

not nessesarily rushing, once i stack in all the rock and everything, i plan to take my time, i know to go slowly, but somtimes you dont have an option, and im wondering if that would cycle the way i mentioned.

If you're just adding base or fully cured live rock there shouldn't really be a cycle. I got forced into a fast upgrade and had no cycle what so ever. FYI check the ARC forum for some fully cured live rock. FLipturn is breaking down her tanks.
