switching over.
ive been thinking about how im gonna switch everything from one tank to another. im getting an extra 75lbs of uncured rock. i was thinking about setting up my tank with the rock and everything. letting it cure, and once its finish, putting my current tank inhabitants in. is that it? is it that easy? or is there something else i should do. i know to make sure the temp and SG are super close. is there anything else? also, its gonna be a big light upgrade. so ill probably put all my corals on the bottom, and move the ones up that i want up over a couple weeks.

watch your ph and calcium level. ph is just as important as sg and temp.sometimes unstable in new setups.

how would an out of wack PH hurt the tank...I'm sure it would kill if radical swing...but if it's stable.....
I don't check it very often, but my xenia and frogspawn are good tank indicators for me.

it wouldnt hurt a tank, but taking stuff from one tank to another with a large ph difference could hurt many animals. its just safe to keep it close. thats all.

In the past when moving from one to the other I did a series of intertank water changes between the 2 so the water was same, then do water changes on accelerated schedule to get it where you want
