suspending metal halide hood hamilton

alright I got my 36" mh (2x175 + 2xvho) hood today my question is how to you suspend it over the tank? What equipment do you use to keep it up there. I can't hang it so how to you place it?

I have eye hooks on the unit and suspended it from above with adjustable pullies. Not sure how I would do it other wise. Can you make a shelf in your hood to rest it on?

well I guess I figured it would come with some kind of mounting brackets but it didn't... there is no eye socket to hang it with... I suppose that's an option but seriously I would much rather have the tank support the hood directly rather than hang it.

(???)

Is it a retro kit? You can screw it up into a hood, or make a frame and use eyehooks like btang, if it is.

You can set some 2x4s on the sides of the tank, end up [], and set the hood on top to raise them, for now.

well looking at the same hood at other online vendors it appears the hood can be placed directly on top of the tank... It's a glass tank so heat isn't too much an issue (plus I got a chiller) but it seems like a whole lot of light considering the bulbs would only be 4" from the water surface I guess (still havent seen the tank... it's being drilled).

I like the 2x4 idea I might go with that. Will have to do something a bit more permanant though in case of an earthquake. I don't need my hood falling into the water . Any other ideas? The hood is http://www.coralreefsupply.com/detai...CH_175W_55K_24 like that, same exact style except mine's 36" 2x175mh + 2x95vho
