OK, I need to know what this behavior means. I have a very young huma he is only about 3 inches long. I have a
power head to the right hand corner pointing down a rock slope to the left I have an out-put from my wet dry on the left going down at a 45 degee angle and out a few inches. It creates a swirling effect.
So the huma starts at the bottom of the 45dregee rock wall and swims up the 45 degree rock slope that goes all the way to the top of the tank. swimming against the current then peels off and rides he current back down then does this over and over again. some times they get halfway and they ride it out just swimming fast enough to hover in place then breaks right and starts back up again. es I said they ...Now the Perc-clown "nemo" is mimic'ing the huma and the chromis hang out and watch? Man this is strange. Water quality is great. Water is clear and they are fed well.
Is this a seeking behavior or is there something in the water they do not like and are tying to go up-current to get away from it?
If this is normal then should I build a longer wall and put a stronger powerhead to widen the current stream.
Can send a video if needed.
