I've noticed a lot of controversy over supplements.

Yes or no?

Yes for me. I have used kent since I started my tank, with very good results.

Your opinions??

I'll be interested in this topic, as I dive back into the hobby. In the past, I used Stronium, Calcium, and Lugol's solution for Iodine, (then later, just Iodine chloride?)
also thought the Marc Weiss products helped, at least in controlling or making ich a non factor in my tank. Not sure if it helped with corraline algae or not, but man I sure used a ton of it. $$$$$$$$$$$ I've heard some say now it's a snake oil product, so I'm up in the air on it now. Used to drip Kalkwasser as well, but for the last 4 years of my tank, didn't use it. Readings were always okay, corals growing like nuts, fish living fine.
