Super Skimmer

I got my Super Skimmer yesterday and am having trouble adjusting it. The directions said there should be up to an inch of micro-bulbles above the water, but my unit is not producing any. I made sure I have the air inlet above water. The unit will produce bubbles if I open the valve right after the pump, but it also quickly fills with water when I do that. Anyone have one of these and have any advice?

I just got mine. I set mine up on a 10gal I had to work out the kinks before I put it on my tank. If you run it hang on, the water pump should be 3-4" under the water line. You want the pump as high as you can get it in the tank. It will all so take time to work its self in 3-4 days. You should have the adjustment valve (the one just afer the water pump) at 50% open for the first day. With it at 50% you will just get water then day 2 open it up all the way the you will get a mix of air and water. At all time you want the water level adjustment dial (the red one) open all the way. When you get it to work then you can play with this. I would all so not use the bubble diffuser it makes a lot of back pressure and thats way it fills up the cup with water. Angle output elbow above the water. Do not put it under water or you will get back pressusr not good. Any more Q's just ask love to help this should be a start.
