Sunny Sunday

Good Sunday morning out there in TRT land. Hope everyone else is sleeping well. I'll put a pot of coffee on a timer for a more civilized hour.
Wrapping up a good shift at the FD. Did a Santa run for a kids Christmas party here on base. And some training.
Headed home in a few, then church and chores.
No FD breakfast since I am off going, but cereal and milk for those who are hungry.
Time to get the day going. Y'all make it a great one.

Good Morning, Ray & Everyone!

No sunshine here as the sky is spitting a dusting of snow on everything. No need to involve snowplows or snowblowers like up in Jeff's country though.

Cereal will be fine for me, Ray, as that's my usual breakfast fare.

It'll be the Ducks vs Tigers in the National Championship game. Interesting stories about the quarterbacks for both teams. Auburn's qb will probably win the Heisman but is caught up in an NCAA & FBI investigation where his dad was shopping his services to the highest college bidder and Oregon's outstanding qb only got his chance to play this year because their former qb Masoli got kicked off the team last year. The football talking heads will fill the airwaves with drivel over this matchup.

This sassy Jay isn't at all shy about giving his opinion on almost any subject but football probably isn't one of them. He makes more sense than some of those 'talking heads', though.

Have a Splendid Sunday, Everyone!

Dick

Morning all. Put some pics up from yesterday. Here is Cynthia looking out over the out of bounds side of the top of Peak 7 at Breckenridge. We are way above the tree line here at about 12,000 feet.

I am standing at the edge of the world ready to drop down into Whales Tail rated as a double black diamond (hardest) run.

The snow was deep and really rough and windblown. Initially my fat butt was hanging out a little letting my uphill ski come loose. After the first tee jitters leaning forward into the turns and settling down got me through it.

It doesn't look like much in the picture, but there are itty bitty skiers in the background for scale. This is a stop at maybe 1/4 of the way down to breathe.

Here is a view out the other way from the top of Whales Tail. It is hard to get much more scenic than this.

Thanx for the coffee, Ray, and cereal is fine with me as well!

Dick, I thought I was going to have to shgare my breakfast with a blue jay! Awesome pic!

Great pics Perry, I've never skied...I'd be the guy with the broken leg sitting by the fire!!

Got tickets to see Howie Mandel tonight. I can't even imagine what that's gonna be like. The tickets were a birthday present.

Have a wondeful day everyone!!!

Good morning Dick, Perry, Butch and all the rest. Wow, it is slow this morning. Should have accidentally flipped on the siren before I left the FD.
Great shot Dick. He probably is also less annoying to listen to than some of the self-important experts of tv.
Perry, I would be lucky to be sitting next to Butch with a broken leg if I tried that. More likely in ICU. Glad you guys had fun though. What is the latest with your neighborhood *ahem* retail outlet?
Butch, hope you enjoy the show. I've ever seen him in person, but caught his stand up routine on TV a few years back and t was pretty funny.
Hope y'all have a blessed Sunday.

Good mawnin', Ray, Dick, Perry, Butch and all of TRT!

Thank for the coffee and breakfast, Ray. I put on a pot of hot chocolate for folks to carry around with them. I hope you have some chair time today.

Dick - You said it about the talking heads concerning the qb on both thos teams. Shees! I think that jay needs to scold the whole lot of them.

Perry - Thrilling photos of your day.

Can't wait to hear about the event, Butch. Great birthday present.

I don't have to sing at the early service today, so it's nice not to have to rush around.

Lots of love and hugs and peace to my TRT brothers and sisters!

Cynthia is an excellent instructor and 4 years of non stop lessons with a knack got the skills up pretty quickly. Starting at age 4 instead of 44 would have been easier.

Our neighbors that are the independent businessmen have been very quiet. I emailed a tip in to CID, and our other neighbor with a badge is on to them. Hopefully there is some police work being conducted in the background.

Good Morning, Perry, Butch, Ray, Cath, & John!

Thanks, Butch! That jay would snag your breakfast if he could. He likes dog food chunks, too.

I would think that's not the spot to slide off the edge, Perry. You'd still be rolling today if that'd happened! Great pics of you two snow bunnies.

Thanks, Ray. 'Talking Heads' is why I don't watch network news stuff.
We'd need a double room in ICU if I tried it! I water skiied but the lake was 'mostly' flat and a lot softer landing than ice.

Wouldn't surprise me if their client base was about to expand to include some undercover types.

Cath, good that you get to rest your pipes after chilling them in the roadside trash pickup the other day.

Still spittin' snow but nothing important.

Dick

G'morning all! I'm having a lazy morning - have to head into work at 3.

Maybe I'll put up the tree... it started out overcast and rainy this morning, but the sun is starting to peek out. (Or I could wait a couple more days until the cold front comes in, and it feels slightly fall-wintery. Not that it does here that often...)

Bing Crosby is on in the background, and I think I'll whip up some biscuits and gravy. - pass me another cuppa please!

Good Morning, Dr. D.!

Your biscuits and gravy sound better than Ray's cold cereal.

Hope you have a relaxing day before your ER shift.

Good Morning Gang, hey I would go fetch the tree and put it up for bisquits and gravy
The little sunny break we got is pretty much over with, cloudy , foggy, and cold damp here.
Nice Blue Jay pic Dick, yours look a little prettier than ours out here
I haven't seen Auburn play before last night, but they look like a hard charging, get it done team like the Ducks. I hope they figure out the QBs issues before the game. It should be a great game,
I enjoyed the game last night, the Beavs are getting better but their best reciever is injured, ho his brother is steppin up and filling in nicely. I think that like the Vols in a year or so it will all start to fall together.
Have a great day
