Good afternoon everyone!

We had near record highs today of about 83. Went to the barn and Perry got some help wiring the outside electrical box for the stock tank heater . . .

Indian Summer 014b

Lori pony and Whiskey dog 'helping'

. . . and had trouble getting rid of his new apprentice journeyman Lori

Indian Summer 005b

Lori wants to learn how to do her own electrical work

Then we finally got to go for our first mountain trail ride together . . .

Indian Summer 023b

Perry and Dumas

. . . and now we are home working on Sunday night Football dinner of mesquite smoked pork ribs with mango honey BBQ sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and cold green bean salad

Hope you are all having a great Sunday!

Just relax. The tendency is to breathe a lot and worry if you are doing everything right. Check your air and weights and make sure your buddy is okay and good luck!!!

Thanks Perry . I had a regulator failure last night during my testing and had to try 3 times before I could force the air through and breath. Once I practiced the buddy system and changed to his alternate air source I realized the reg was faulty . They thought I was just having anxiety but changed my 1st stage . Was a lot of fun though . 16 ft pool

Thanks Fred . It's about an hour north of Philly. It's a 50 acre lake 110 ft deep .

Yep once you get your own gear and maintain it that makes all the difference.

My buddy for advanced had a faulty button on her BC inflator and went to the bottom of the blue hole accelerating and I am so glad it was only 78 feet or she might not be here right now.

She didn't think to drop her weights which only comes with experience.

I love my setup that came as a clearance package on line. We get lots of stuff at the LDS (no not the Mormon thing...local dive shop) but they couldn't come close on price.

Yeh that's what the guys that forced me into this told me. We practiced dumping the weights .Tough to do when your under a state of panic. I'll be diving at the jersey shore for the next year and will only be in 50-60 feet which I can go up with a breath if needed

Everything froze last week George. The thermostat in the heater element turns on at 34 and turns off at 42.

A previous owner put a J Box in for the electric fence so this was pretty easy. Lori Pony was a lot of help.

I put in the total weatherproof outside setup. (Oh it is Phishnoob..Mrs. Phish was logged in)

my check out dive was in Canandaguia lake (upstate NY in oct water was 60 at the bottom 55 feet) I have not been in fresh water in about 15 years

I have been spoiled by the s fla and Caribbean waters. you will like not diving with a wet suit or dry suit and just shorts and a t-shirt.

i believe you will fall back to training If its time to dump weight and go then you will.
