Sump flow

Hi everyone.

I ordered the skimmer. Its a bullet 1 replica.
I couldnt afford the euro reef and the guy on this skimmer gave me a sweet price break- great deal.
I have a pump in my house that I can use on the skimmer. It does 800 GPH.

How many GPH should I have going through the sump ?
Should I use both holes drilled As drains, I could get about 1000 GPH like that with the mag 12.

Thanks

I think you want lower flow through the sump - matched to your skimmer so more water gets skimmed.

yea, shes got it, shoot for around 600-800, you dont need both holes, but it might help. whats the head curve on a mag 12? i though it would only push about 700-800 at 4' of head.

never mind, i see it pushed around 1200, that might be a little much for your setup, but you can put a ball valve on it, just cut it back a touch.
