Sumo Wrestler!!

OK, had a real eye-opener this am--my Tomato Clown grabbed my Yellow Blennie by the tail and flung him across the tank--the Blennie seemed fine and headed back towards the rocks and went into hiding--came out a little later and they all (Spotty too) seemed to be getting along. I'm am, of course, very concerned for my Blennie...is this a normal behavior for the Clowns--I will say that the Blennie was fairly close to my Rock Anenomes which is the Clown's favorite territory. I'm also concerned that my Blennie may not be getting enough food--he does dart in and out when feeding is taking place and seems to get some, but not sure it is enough.

Also, when I purchased the Rock Anenomes...the "rock" (OK, so I wasn't checking out the rocks too carefully) it was attached to is actually two clam/mussel-like creatures that I noticed opening slightly and closing. What do they eat? Unfortunately my Blennie appears to be enamered of them and likes hiding around them (thus the Clown dilemma)my concern is that he might get caught when they are open...and become a meal.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Clowns are aggressive and territorial; it may have been Doug who said they're just damsels with a trick paint job, lol. Tomato and Maroon Clowns tend to be most aggressive by all accounts. You've got three fish in a small space, as two of them are pretty high on the oneryness scale, I'd say that headbutting is inevitable.

Blennies like to hide in holes in the rock, maybe you could find a rock with a hole and put it on the other side of the 10 gallon for him to hide in. How are the plans for the 55 coming along? The sooner the better for your blenny's sake!
