Suggestions greatly needed
I received a note on my apt door this evening stating that on Monday, pest control is coming in and BOMBING the apts. No exceptions. They even have that I am to empty all cupboards and drawers. (What a pain in the @#$@).
Anyways, I urgently need suggestions on what I can do if anything to protect my tanks. If their bombing kills my tanks, I will be so majorly peeved it won't even be near funny. Right now, I am thinking of maybe wrapping Saran wrap over the tops of the tanks. I can leave the lights off for the day so I don't melt anything. Will that be enough protection? I really need suggestions and plans of attack here!

Cover it as well as possible with saran wrap or something, run a for the air input to the skimmer out a window so you can get fresh o2. That's pretty much all you can do.

That sucks...
I dunno what you can really do
If in the end you are really worried get your prize fish/corals to go for a vacation in a friends tank.
Hope it works out and that the tank will completely safe

I would get a flexable drier vent hose and run it from the tank to an open window with cardboard around the rest of the open window, unplug lights and any airpumps. Then get a big enough plastic tarp over it and duck tape it to the floor(if bare)or to the bottom of the stand(if carpet floor).

Get the tank out, if you cant get the tank out cover it as best as you can and run a bucket full of carbon.

if you are handy, you could try and make a Tent for the tank.using a basic wood frame and like 3 mil sheet..the cost would be low.

I got the note last nice, so I will be calling them today. They arn't spraying..they are fog bombing. (from what I gathered from the letter) If they are spraying it will be easier to help take care of the tank.
I think I will get the huge thick plastic and wrap up the tank well. I have decided that I am going to beg, plead, grovel, demand, that my boss let me work from home on Monday so I can monitor EVERYTHING. If they ask me to leave, I will be, if my tank has to get bombed, I get bombed. That will learn them! heh heh

i would turn enverything off. and wrap it like a mad man. ,may leave one pump on if you have a closed loos system that way the water will not come in contact with the air. good luck.

Spoke with the pest people, they are not BOMBING as the letter said, they are spraying. They are also not coming on Monday as the letter said but Tuesday. *sighs* So, I am not as anxious now.
