Suggestions for a new fish in 65
Hi! I thought my tank was full (of fish) but I'm reading this thread and I'm surprised at how many fish you guys are putting in your tanks. So... I WANT ANOTHER FISH! I can't think of anybody better to ask than you great people here at TRT. Help me choose a fish.
Here's what I have:
65 gal + 25 gal sump
2 Percs
1 Royal Grama
1 6-Line wrasse
1 Tangaroa Goby (w/ invisible shrimp)
What do you think? Can I put another one in there? And what do you suggest?
ps: i had 3 chromis in there and they got eliminated by the clowns.

How about a tang? I would first find out how well your pod growth is.

My pod growth is terrible. No pods to speak of. It's really quite a sterile tank. Isn't a 65 a bit small for a tang? Also, no algae to speak of.

What is the dementions of your 65? Is it a 3 or 4 foot tank?
I'm not a big fish guy, but there are allot of very cool wrasses out there,... And of course Firefish rule.

A scribbled rabbitfish =) I think theyre the neatest fish you can keep in a tank "smaller" like yours. Since its not big enough for a tang. I think flyguy turned me on to the scribbled, loved em since. Try checking them out. (there are also orange spotted rabbitfish)
and since you dont have much algae, buy some green pellet/flakes to feed and hed be fine.

i think it is fantastic that you do not have good pod growth. that means you are able to get most of the food out as fast as it is going in. pods are a great indicator of how unbalanced your inputs and outputs are.

Never thought of it that way. Makes sense. I really wish I could get a mandarin though. No chance. There's nothing to eat in this tank except what I put in it. Corals happy. Fish mad.
