Stupidity Can Hurt (non reef)

I thought someone should get a chuckle at my stupidity.

Saturday morning I stopped by the bank to cash my Christmas bonus I had received the night before. The teller hands me back my drivers licence and tells me it is expired. I told her there must be a mistake, but no it had expired in september.

Ivy had that ready to chuckle look on her face then she looked at her licence and she looked very serious as she quickly put her licence back in her purse. Yep expired in september also.

I called the DMV and now I have to bring my birth certificate and proof I live in the state of Georgia and take the written and driving test

I have not taken a driving test in tweenty one years, and I just picked up the manual, HOLY COW this thing is huge now.

STUPID, STUPID, STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!

They're making you take the written test? Yikes, well if you and Ivy take your tests at the same time you can pass notes back and forth

In Montana if your licence expires you have to take the written and driving test as well! Always a fear of mind but glad my license is good for 8 years at a time! Johnny

When ever I think of a drivers test, I think of when Reverend Jim was hired on Taxi.

"Psst - what does a yellow light mean?"
"Slow down."
"What...does...a...yellow...light...mean?"
"Slow down."
Whaaat...dooees...a yel-low...liiight...mean?'

Gotta love the Reverend Jim!

Isn't life great sometimes...hehe....
The wifes sister called me one day from the DMV and said
her sister--my wife was getting her licensed renewed, but
she said they took her to the back for some reason and it was
taking a while. So about 2 hrs later my wife finally called me
to tell me she had an unpaid ticket from before I met her that she forgot about.....Cost us 600 dollars on the spot....ugh.....

I renewed my license a week ago.

A new requirement in the Philippines this year is to undergo drug screening.

The LTO (Land Transportation Office) was only looking for evidence of methamphetamine or cannabinol use, so I aced the the med test.

Not too many government agencies have heard about dried skimmate!
Hehehe!!!

When I moved here to the US from Canada I had to take a written AND a practical test to get my licence!! As if we don't have the same rules in Canada!

Fishaholic, get ready for long line-ups...the DMV in GA is horrendously understaffed. When I went for my licence, we went first thing in the morning, had to leave at 2:00 to go meet the kids off the school bus, luckily somebody saved my place in the queue, and it took the rest of the day to complete the thing.

The lady who assessed the practical part gave me 100....she said she NEVER gives that, but I said I guessed that most of the people she evaluated didn't have 14 years' driving experience! She said no, except for those coming off DUI suspensions who had to be re-tested LOL!
