Stream 6105 AND Vortech MP40w in a 75???

What's up trt? Been building my 75 sps for a year and I'm ready for some new flow. Right now it consists of 3 modded maxijets facing at the ground and two modded tinze 6025's. Will I be going overbored with the Tunze 6105 on the multicontroller AND the Vortech MP40w?

Maybe, you plan on blowing the water right out of the tank for waterchanges or something

Seriously though, how much flow total are we talking between all the pumps? Are you planning on removing the Modded Maxis?

If they're controlled, no it's not overkill. I had a 6100 uncontrolled in my 58, and it was a bit of a nuisance, but if you can back it off I wouldnt think it's too much. Will the vortech be running straight, or can you tone it down a bit?

Yeah I want all the maxi jets out of my tank. I was thinking along the lines of Creating a wave in the tank with the MP40w and then use the Tunze on a controller to simulate tide conditions at the same time. Oh and yes...would love to see a tornado in there! Was wondering how the Tunze would do with pushing IT'S flow through the flow of the MP40w.

sounds good! So what do you think about running one pump into the other? Where can I place the tunze if I have the vortech on the side in the middle of the glass?

I agree- not too much flow. I run two vortech mp40w opposing each other in a 90. Had them on the same side but found that depending on the sync-antisync mode settings the best random flow was to head-to-head.
Definitely don't think you'll have too much flow (could always control since either have excellent controllers) - i actually think i just about have *enough* and my tank isn't much bigger...
