strange brown little things
I tried searching but could not find anything that matched this stuff.... It started a week or so ago... there are these little brown, for lack of a better description, bran flake looking things starting to grow on parts of my rocks. It actually looks like someone crunched up some bran flakes and threw them in the tank... little brown freckle things... they are not moving so i don't think it is a critter... some kind of algae perhaps??? Anyone know what it might be? A picture would not show it I don't think because it is just growing in little patches.
Anyone?

Are they rounded on one end? I had something like that and I was told it was some type of macro algie. But without a picture cannot be sure.

NO not flatworms I have had those before... this is just on the rock... think of something like crunched up bran flakes sprinkled over the rock...it doesn't move and is in little"patches'

update on the "bran flake thingys" on my live rock.... when I blow them with a turkey baster they blow off into the water column...little tiny crunched up bran flake looking things all floating in the water...anyone have any more ideas what they could be? They are about the color of bran flakes if they were crunched up too.

I tried but they are too tiny to show up.... just think of crunched up bran flakes into tiny little pieces and scattered over the live rock...
