Strange Blue Worm in my rocks

The light when out and I hit the rock with a Flash light to check out the night critters and noticed a smooth looking blue worm living in the rock about the same diamiter of a regular garden worm but blue in color. I don't know how long it is but I know it's at lease two inches. anybody have any Idea. there is noway that I can get a PIC because as soon as the light hits it, it returns to the inside of the rock.

If it is a peanut worm they are kinda crazy creatures. The can extend out for over a foot and the funny thing is they dont ever hardly change in diameter like other worms no matter how far they stretch.

Put a piece of red cellophane over your flashlight.....if they still flinch double up on it until the light doesnt bother them......youll be amazed at the things in your tank you can see at night with a red light.

Your tellin me. I noticed the worm had a mouth on the end of it that has like a bunch of hair looking things that curl in very cool (as long as the don't eat the coral)
in looking around I have noticed several morein the tank. along with one bristle worm that is out every night and I know there are two more in the tank I just have not seen them.

Ok I just saw the coolest thing I have ever seen in my tank. I had the light up to the side of the tank and viewed the tank from the front I noticed all these little clear critters that look like micro shrimp it looked like they just spawn from something and were very attracked to the light. prob just some kind of pod but really cool. I wish I had a good marco lense for the camera but not yet.

facinating, isn't it?

Sounds like pods, mysis shrimp, or even brine...some sort of micro-invert.

That's what your corals LOVE to eat!!!

Yep about once a month I get tons of little shrimp looking things. Seeing as I only have 1 coral banded shrimp I know they aren't actually shrimp. Probably some kind of little pod. Fish go crazy when they show up it is very cool to watch.

I noticed that my cleaner shrimp was going to town on those critters. The lights just went out maybe I will get a replay of last night.
