straight vs square pin PCs question

I have a workhorse 7 ballast with two adaptors for straight pin Powercompacts. I want to use these with 96 watt actinics. The bulbs I have now arent as blue as I would want them to be. They are the purplish white actinics. Is there a straight pin 96 watt bulb that is the darker blue thats not too expensive?

If not, is there a way to conect a square pin 96 watt PC to a straight pin adaptor? Im asking this, because I can find the darker blue PC bulbs but they only come in the square pin types.

Thanks again!!

Get Hellolights 03 Actinic, Beautiful Bulbs. These make your corals glow awesome, the best actinic I have used. They Peak at 420-430 nm.

Pic of my Open Brain, Green Star Polyps and baby Purple tip Acro under these bulbs.

Sorry, this is late

http://www.hamiltontechnology.com/sh...=56343&cat=30&

By the way, is there a difference between an actinic 03 from Hellolights and an actinic from anywhere else (say, Hamilton Tech.)?

Thanks,

AEB

I dunno, but I like my Hamilton Actinic03. More so than my coralife bulb on the other tank ... but that's pretty darn anecdotal.

Yes, I have had both and the Actinic 03 from Hellolights has a better florescence IMO.
