Still need an ID, plus bonus pictures!

So I'm pretty sure this is an LPS, just not sure what it is.
Last time someone said it looked like a plate coral.
It did look like one when it was completely deflated.
Look at it now!

When I got it:

Here it is now (You can see some obvious coralline growth from the last 3 weeks!) :

Not sure what it is at all...

So I finally got to fragging my Green Button Polyps out of my 20g.
I just razored the polyps as far down as I could and super glued them to rubble.
I have 6 pieces of rubble with about 5 polyps each.
Since it was my first time I didn't get all of them glued perfectly.
A few fell off and floated away.

My new Royal Gramma!

And here he is again playing with my clown:

And last, some FTS.
1 with flash, 1 without.

Not sure on your coral sorry. But nice polyps and coralline growth!
Off topic but what's your combined flownrate in that tank? I asked what I should do in my 40b but got no answer. Maybe I should bump the thread for the night shift.

I'm definitely keeping it.
I got it for only $5 since it started to "Die off" in his system!
It's making a fine recovery in my tank.
He had one about 30% bigger but not dying off for $20.
Not sure if he was selling the bigger one overpriced or the little one underpriced, but I think it was a great deal!

That's off topic, I don't think it's Tongue Coral though, mine has little ridges or hills or whatever you call them on it and Tongue Coral doesn't.

I have 1115gph, mj1200 at 295gph, koralia 1 at 400gph, and a return pump at just about 420gph.
That's 37x turn over rate.
I like the amount of flow, but I would really like a wavemaker.

Nope, it's not that either.
Doesn't have the large seperate polyps.
The first picture is of when it was extremely stressed, bagged, dragged, and put in the tanks.
So that's what it looks like at its extreme deflate.
And hte second picture is what it looks like when it's as puffy as possible.

Is the entire coral soft or does it have a stony base? Looks interesting, guessing something in the a plate coral family. BTW tanks looks good.

It definitely has a stony base.
It started to die off in the previous owners tank and there's a inch long piece of calcium base with no coral on it.

I've had a couple people say plate coral, but I have yet to see one that looks like this.

Thanks! It's definitely a better tank then my 20g.

I've looked all over for a plate coral species that looks like mine.
I can't seem to find one.
Any other suggestions?

Maybe some type of EC? The one in the middle of the 5th to last row on this link looks like it. http://www.aquacon.com/LPSWYSIWYG.html

I just reposted this tread on RC to get some other answers, and I got the same answer!

I'm not sure, but it could be.
Im up for anything.

If it is, I'd be surprised that EC hasn't chimed in yet.

Haha me too. The polyps look a little small but it could just be healing. I'd say give it another week or two and then post pictures.

Possibly a small tongue? Love those $5.00 mistery corals w/no name. Give it time and watch out for sweepers.
