I still havent come up with a glass hole saw for the 1 inch bulkheads. If anyone has one or knows where I can get a good one let me know. It needs to be 1 3/8 inch.

I got my overflow plumbing, 400 gallons of salt, my CLS pumps and my sump stand today. I didn't get my bulkhead fittings for my CLS but I ordered some larger ones so I don't have to worry about the hole saw. I got my skimmer broke in, too. OH, I am very tired!!!

I'm going to bed. let me know if there is anything that does not seem right or if I'm missing something.

In order to remove the card from the camera you have to open the battery door. Everytime you open the battery door the entire camera resets so I'm not going to reset the camera every time I pull the card out, LOL, it was an expencive camera too.

That sucked. I was going to do my plumbing and got to looking at my stand... well it wasn't right, so, I spent my entire friday night rebuilding my stand. If someone else had built it and I looked at it I would have said "What kind of dumb crack monkey built this thing?" So needless to say I have nothing to show for my friday night... I guess I'll start the plumbing tomarrow.

Ok,

I got all the plumbing done that I can do till I get my sump next tuesday. Well, almost there is some stuff I could do but I'm tired of working on it.

I ran across an assue: I got 1 1/4 inch spa flex hose and it fits the Menards fitting very well but the bulkheads are very loose in the hose hose. Is there a good way to deal with this?

I still need the fittings for the CLS so I havent even started that yet. I have a plan though.

I'm also wanting to paint the tanks... Do I just use regular rust-o-lium or what?

I will post more progress soon.

Well, I have been working on my CLS. I got as done as I can get them till I get my bulkheads. I hooked thm up in my bathtub and I don't think my pumps are big enough. I may need to use a mag 30 on each one or 2 mag 18s on each one. I'm kind of disappointed in them.

what size pipe are you using? do you have a pic on the layout of the CLS's? a Mag 18 should be pretty good for a 90 that is housing a DSB.

I'm using 3/4 inch split into 4 1/2inch outlets. The mag has a 3/4 intank and output. I'll Post the pic here shortly. I need to clean up my mess.

Ok guys,

I start drilling my tank tomarrow. Is it ok to put the intakes for the CLS in the bottom of the back panel of the tank, say 8 inches from the bottom? Would there be any issues with servicing? I want to put them there because my over flows are on the left side of the tank and there is a larger gap on that side, I think it would help to facilitate circulation.

Also, how far from the waterline should I put the returns?

I get my sump tomarrow as well. I should be able to post a pick of that set up tomarrow depending upon the amount of time I spend drilling the tanks.

Im gonna go cook some more sausage.
