Wholy ****. Sorry but that is one awesome setup. I was thinking of doing a 300 gallon someday when we do our addition on the house but with the 180 running now I don't think I could afford to run it. You must have a very good job. The electric bill to run all your stuff on its own would put me under. But I take my hat off to you that is quite an idea Three tanks VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY COOL.

I ordered my calcium reactor today (finally). $839 out the door with eveything I need including media. They have to make the reaction chamber, so, it wont ship untill next week.

Looks like I will be changing my signature again. In order for the light fixture company to place the fans inside the hood I have to go with PCs. So, now I'm getting 2-130 watt PCs in each hood as apposed to 2-110 watt VHOs. They are making the switch for the same cost. Also, I figure I better add th CR-6 to it while I'm at it.

You end up going with MRC?
think you'll be happy!
And if the Ca reactor I order last week takes to long to get here, I'll know why!!!!! Cause you got Andy busy with your order! Jerk! hahahaha

Ive allways wanted to have a big tank. Unfortunatly my 50 year old house wasnt exactly built for quality. When i went to have my 55 put it i had my engeneer come in and gimmie the lowdown on what i could do, Allways good to be safe. Turns out my floor joists may look solid but on the inside they are soft as butter. Nothing over a 40 gal tank. lol. One day........
Tank looks super awsome and it seems like youll be done uberfast. If it were me id leave the middle one completely empty to give the daughter/wifie a swimin hole!!! Thats at least how we would do it in North Carolina. lol Cant wait to see it with rocks and lights.

Thanks Darth,
My tank is actually 75 percent on the flagstone foundation. There is only a small portion of the tank on the joists. I also lagged a bunch of 3-2X12s in across the floor when I remodeled for some extra support.

Heh!
Almost there!
Starting to get that reeftank look!
BTW, you might as well replace your membrane and filters on the RO/DI now, add a second RO membrane now to increase your rate of filtration, as the singlle membrane you have now can be replaced with a high flow membrane, even adding a second RO membrane to double your filtration speed if you like (i.e., 2 x 80 gpd = 160 gpd...) if you do 20% of 400 G, you're looking an needing 80 gallons for a water change, or 40 gallons for at least 10%, so taking 4 days to make that is not kewl...
...but the CR6 ROCKS!

I will be replacing my RO unit soon, but I have a 50 gallon tank to store RO water in for water changes. I put a T in the out put of the unit: one side goes to the holding tank and the other to the auto top off. So, I will prolly just get another cheapy RO unit.
