Thanks for the input I had decided that I would run the separate circuits and when has the law ever stopped me from doing anything?

I hear ya. Because I'm an electrician so I have to adhear to the codes. The big thing is insurance companys are getting wise and if anything ever fried, and there was a fire, they'd ask a LOT of "W" questions, and might not pay out on a claim. PLUS, did you ever TRY to get #10 wire around screw terminals?? UGH

Jason, just awesome! Love the cabinets! The LR idea looks very interesting, too. You've done so much, and have such an awesome display, ever think of putting a dedicated box, just for your tanks-might be worth the extra cash in the long run, then you'll never have to worry about it inteferring with the home. Just a thought.

Yes, actually I was thinking that I will have to when I put the addition on the house because as it sits now I only have about 5 circuits available for everything I have left to add. Thats hardly enough to run juice to my addition.

Right, but I just had my 200 amp service put in. I think I'll just add a secondary 100 amp service. That should be enough.

Well, I have two of the tanks running now and everything looks good. Skimmer is going faster than the return pump still as well but, it still in just fresh water.
I need to work on my water change system. Any ideas? I still need a calcium reactor I'm not paying $800 for one any one have any ideas about that?

Just this morning, I ordered a Ca reactor from Andy over at http://www.myreefcreations.com. The reactor itself was only $190. The pH controller is where the REAL money comes in. That, plus the CO2 tank and the regulator and media and pump...total came to just under $600. But if you already have any of that, or don't need the best brand...you can save significantly.
I Looked around, and not sure you can get a better deal on pH controllers or CO2 regulators. Can save a little...but only by getting a less reliable piece. And to me, the diff between $400 and $600 isnt' much. Already spending a lot, might as well get the best.
anyways...I'm babblin...

I don't doubt the quality of it at all. I just think $500 is a bit high for a few peices of plastic.

wait.
Even the CR-2 WITH the dual chambers is only $290...and that's supposed to be good for up to 500 gallons.
I'm confused.

At 2PM today I will have been filling my tanks for 11 straight days. I had estimated some time back that they would have been filled by sometime yesterday. What a drag.
