what kind of trigger? if it is a blue jaw, than you are fine. the wrasse may play with the star every now and then, but should not hurt it, as long as it is of decent size. the blue tank could not care less about the star.

reef safe stars tend to be the most fragile. they are very susceptable to acclimation shock. either from you or from someone before you in the distribution chain. the most popular are the Linkia's.
