Stand-Offs for MH retros?
Hi all I' going to be installing my MH retros tonnight. I was planning to use 3/4" -1" standoffs when I mound my reflectors. Reason is I'm scared of my canopy( and them my house) going up in flames. I also think this will seriously help to dissapate heat off the reflector. I do plan to use a clip on fan for now also.
Another question:
Being the Dumb A** than I am I forgot to get water proof connectors. The IceCap ballasts are pre-wired with a 120v plug and the other side is just 3' of insulated wire with bare ends. the sunlight supply reflectors have 15' cords with their waterproof connector (looks like a PFO) Since I want to do this what are my options for connectin the ballast to the socket? Besides hard wiring them. Can I just solder on extension cord ends?
