Is it reef safe to use a stainless steel heater in saltwater?

I know that in my testing lab, which is freshwater, we have to be careful about using stainless steel pipes transport water. Many Stainless steel pipes have a zinc coating on them that will leache into the water and cause chronic issues with my fresh water organisms. I am not sure exactly how the stainless steel heater is made and how it would react in saltwater. Could you purchase a glass heater? You know for a fact it will not cause a problem.

Unless it is veery high grade stainless..it will still rust in saltwater. Thats why if you want a unbreakable saltwater heater, they make them out of titanium
