Staghorn Hermit Crab reef safe?

I really really enjoy my hermits. And I was wondering if these guys are reef safe. I read that the coral they use for a shell isn't as potent as most people used to think. Also I would be willing to go out of the way to feed him if it needed. What do you guys think?

how cute are these guys?!

I personally dont have any experience with them but Ive read that they're relatively reef safe. Also read that their shell needs to be supplemented as well and it can grow in such a way that if the hermit crab is turned upside down, it may not be able to turn right side up again, allowing it to be vulnerable to stings from corals. They are pretty cool and the fact that the shell grows makes it very interesting.

No worries, those guys can right it self back all day long; I've had dozens of these. One thing though the shell isn’t very easy to keep as one may think.
