SPS Not Opening? Help Please!

I recently moved my set up. It has been running smoothly for a week now.

All my SPS frags are opening up nicely except one. It has not opened since the move. Im not sure of the species yet but I have attached a bad picture. Ill learn how to take pictures some other day. Right now, it is very high in the tank and I have not moved it.

Should I be concerned yet?

Some info:

The coloration of the frag under my light is a light pale green with the polyps closed.

does it open up at night? a lot of corals open up at night and not much during the day. what are you alk and Ca levels? i look at these if things are looking funny. i also test both of these at least once a week. another thing to look for are tiny red bugs on the coral.

You may want to move it down. I had a bottle brush acro that I placed high up, after being low in the tank, and noticed that it wasn't opening anymore. Even at night, I didn't really see much. So I moved it from high up in the tank to the sand bed.. within 3 days, the acro started to show it's polyps again (bleached polyps). It has been a few weeks now, and the coral is doing wonderfully. The polyps are normal color again, and extending. Some corals may love the light, but can still be to high in a tank, from my experience.

Thanks for the reply Jeremy1973.

I think I will try that tonight when I get home. Unless for some reason it has decided to open up, but I doubt it.

Ill try to post the results to this thread if and when the little guy perks up.

Thanks again,
