what type is it? Some may re-encrust the dead area, but not all.

If the coral is healthy it will grow back over it in no time.
Or did the entire side die, not just where the glue touched??

A pic would help.
Fraom what im hearing what is going on sounds like it very well may not be related to the glue at all, but either stn or rtn depending on how long it has been going on.
If that is the case, your best bet may be to cut off the affected piece entirely and seal the edges with super glue.
Im not saying to do this as we dont really know, but a current pic could help us figure out what is going on.
Is the part that is dying spreading?

When I glue my frags in place, I usually use a lot of superglue such that it covers part of the base of hte corals anyways. It's actually effective in preventing infections of the freshly cut area. (think of it as a band-aid).
Either way, pretty sure the superglue isn't gonna hurt the coral. At least it never has in my case.
Do you have another shot of the bleached area?
