Sps Acropora

I just bought some uncured live rock, and lo and behold on a piece of the rock is a 3-4 inch Acropora (i think) its green in color. My major question is, what would be its survival rate for making it thru the curing process and cycle of my tank?

congrats!!!

I'd say it's fairly good since it's survived thus far.

wiskey has a good point...I'd make sure not to shock it by adding light too intensely or to fast. You don't have another tank do you where you could just remove the hitchhiker and transplant him?

He doesn't,.. but this would be a good idea. If it were me I'd just run with it and see what happens

Did this LR come from somebody who tore their tank down's tank?

Wiskey is correct, i do not have another tank to put him in.

And no it did not come from another reefer. I bought 20# of uncured rock from Salty Critter!
