Spraybar powered by powerhead designs?

I am trying to piece together a spraybar that will probably consist of a maxi-jet powerhead and plan old 1/2" PVC pipe capped off at the end. Does anyone currently use a setup like this. I have a 90gal tank and just looking for light to moderate movement across the tank(4 feet). I am not interested in doing a close loop config.

Not sure if you mean to use it as the main circulation or not. It probably wouldn't give enough flow for that.
