Splitting RBTA with pics!
After the lights were on for a couple hours this morning I noticed that our Rose BTA was not expanded so I got to looking at it and noticed that it was in two pieces and only a little string of the foot connected them.
We bought this anemone about 3 months ago and it was only about 5 inches in diameter. Yesterday it was about 10 inches and I never noticed 2 mouths or anything out of the ordinary, till this morning.
Man, this really can happen fast!
Hope you enjoy, I know I will! Sorry for the quality and size.
Thanks for looking,
Chris

For all the experts out there....
When do I try to feed these guys? I should soak some silversides in some selcon, right?
Just a few minutes ago they broke the last bit holding them together, this is so cool!

Yeah, I usually feed silversides once a week, and mysis once a week.
I just read that they should not be fed until their mouths heal and it said that, that usually takes 7-10 days.
Thanks guys!
And would love some advice if anyone reads this that has experience.
Chris

Before and after with some other pics
Update:
Both anemones seem to be doing fine here is a befroe and after shot (Not very good quality)
The one on the left is the smaller of the two and it is trying to come up between a couple of rocks and the other is staying hidden back under the rocks.
Also mixed a few other pics in from the weekend.
Chris

Congrats! and great pics!!!
I've never had one split for me, but I always fed mine Misys too,.. but my clowns never hosted, and the anonomie would roam from time to time, so I ended up getting rid of it

I was lucky with this one...
I had a huge Sebea (sp) that was getting too large so we ordered this RBTA in the middle of September. When the RBTA came in the mail I took the Sebea out and and placed the RBTA right there and the clown was in it withing 5 minutes and it never moved from the place I put it.
Thanks for all the comments,
Chris
