Splashguard Over Lights?

Hi All
I Am Upgrading My Eclipse 2 Hood With A Sunpaq 2x32w Retrofit Assembly. The Stock Eclipse Splashguard Does Not Fit Over The New Lights. Can I Leave Them Uncovered? Or Is A Splashguard Absolutely Neccesary? Any Input Would Be Greatly Appreciated...anthony

Ps: The Lights Are About 2"-3" Above The Water

I would definitely figure out a way to get a splash guard. Salt will collect on your bulbs if you dont and sometimes mess up your connecting. It will also increase your chance of being shocked. Trust me on some experience. Try cutting a piece of plexy glass.
