Spectra-Vital?


I just got some tonight and was wanting to know anyones experience with it, is it as good as it sounds on the container?

If you can return it, then please do so. Marc Weiss products are almost always considered to be snail oil. I wouldn't put any of them in my tank. I am sure that others will agree. I cringe everytime I here the word "vital" posted on these boards.

What suggestions do you have for feeding of filter feeders and leather corals? I was previously using phytoplankton.

A weel established tank with a diverse infauna population and some supplementery feeding of homemade reef mush, or cryopaste should do the trick. Use a dedicated baster to blow the settings off the live rock, the filter feeders will eat what they like. Most leather corals are primarily photosynthic and or capable of absorbing DOC or other nutrients directly from the water column, if they are active feeders they can prey on whatever suits them from the stuff the baster swirls into the water column
