With my adding the
protein skimmer, hopefully this weekend after a major Homer DOH! on plumbing this last weekend, I started to think about water levels and overflows in the event of a power outage. The current setup will do fine and just drain into the sump. Plenty of room for the water. However, when I add this skimmer its going into increase the water volume to a point where a waterfall will insue if the power goes off. How do you all handle this potential problem?? I have not had any power outages since I moved into this place 2 years ago, but I do live in Ohio and with the storms we get, it is possible. A friend of mine suggested a UPS unit. Anyone use one or have any suggestions on a solution?
