sooo another 1 passed away...
another one of my kaudrens cardinals passed away............. so i went to the LFS and brought a sample w/me he said that the pH was alot lower than his. and it was. but everything else was very good. Nitrate and nitrites were 0, amonia 0. Then i bought some pH raiser, put some in the tank. then went back to the LFS 4-5 hours later. Low and Behold, the pH was alot better. So out of the three cardinals that i bought 1 survived woot. so i bought a cleaner shrimp, and ocellaris clown fish, and a rock that has some shrooms, and i dont remember what else was on the rock.

oh...and did you bring "morning" water, and then "afternoon" water? There could be a difference of .2 or better just from the time of day.

I have a sugestion for you, don't buy anything else until your tank is under control. I know it is hard to do this but if you are adjusting your water you really should not be adding any animals in there. How do you know the water is safe? "the ph was a lot better" could mean is not quite where it needs to be yet. I am surprised, well maybe not, that they would sell you anything. Somewhere in your maintenance or housekeeping there was a breakdown, why did the ph got low? how do you avoid the same mistake?
Everytime a fish dies in my tank I do a massive water change in case there is someting in there that I am not able to detect with the tests, then I wait about a month to get something else.

well my ph was 20.. then i raised it up to 40 to where the lfs had it, my 1 kaudren that survived. is doing just fine so that's why i bought the stuff. the lfs guy said that my ph was just fine before i added the live rock, and then when i added the live rock it took most of the ph. no color change on the 1 kaudren fish. when i added the ph raiser.

A buffer product that you can't overdose, as it stops at 8.2pH if you do overdose. Other products that don't buffer but will raise pH are too HARD to manager and you'll endup killing everything.
Comes with a tiny plastic scoop-cup inside and its one scoop per 10gal. About 50 doses per bottle.
I use it whenever I topoff since my water source for topoff is 6.8 ~ 7.0 pH

like someone stated before, your pH is lowest in morning and then rises thru out the day. But i dont think that is what killed your cardinals. And if all the LFS told you was the pH was fine, i would be asking for numbers...
20? and 40? i never heard them numbers associated for a pH reading
