Something Growing and spreading around my tank

I have a 180 gallon tank, I just added 180 lbs of live rock. I have 20 snails, 15 crabs, 3 shirmp, 2 damsle and a clown fish. I havent added corals yet I am waiting for it to be stable for a while. I added my rock about two weeks ago form an established tank off of craigslist. I notices some of the rocks have a translucent flower looking thing with brown tops. They hid when the light is off and seem to strecth for the light. They move in when I try to touch them and tehy are spreading aorund I evn have one growing on my glass. WHat are they, are they bad and if so how do I get rid of them. I have pics but cnat seem to upload them please fell free to email me and I will send them to you for advice.

The peppermint shrimp will eventually find the and eat them. That is providing you have pepps and not camel shrimp that were sold as pepps. Pepps come out more at night.

Please don't get a copperband butterfly just for aptaisia removal as it will most likely starve shortly after eating the aptaisa and tube worms.

Go with peppermints they do a great job!
