Sorry what exactly does LLD stand for?

Stray voltage is out.. If i had copper for this long wouldnt my cleaner shrimp and snails be dead? No effect on any inverts and nothing that could of leached copper into the system were added.. There wasnt any stray voltage at all. What else could it be?

Copper could have just gotten into the system recently and even if it has been there for a while it may have just reached toxic levels but not toxic to your shrimp yet.

The thing that leads me to believe it is a toxin is the sudden death within a day of coral that has been in an other wise unchanging system.

Someone else is going to have to get in on this.

FFIW, I have never had a reading of Zero for voltage in a system. Static from a ph impeller turning is enough to show voltage on a good multimeter.

The corals didnt all die, its just they arent healthy and slowly wither away. For examples look at these sad pictures..
My beautiful clove polyps! This was a couple of months ago...

A few weeks ago...

My awsome glow in the dark mushrooms months ago.

...There are no longer any mushrooms on that rock.
My tank months ago looking awsome

My tank a couple of weeks ago.

Pics in the beginning would have cleared this up. That algae is outcompeting your corals for space and light. Some algaes can also produce chemicals that will kill nearby corals, it's a form a chemical warfare for space on the reef.

There was no algae when my corals closed up. They closed up, started melting, and then cyano came and took over the whole tank for a week, went away and left hair algae which i clean corals of every water change so they get light. Im going to be cooking the rock soon but want this coral situation straightened out.. What else could cause this? The corals were fine when i got hair algae the first time then the zoas/buttons closed up and still havent opened yet except in other tanks they open right up, the xenia all started melting, the shrooms got really tiny and just dissapeared, and the clove polyps have just melted away.

+1 that rock needs cooked. I said it was not a PO4 issue to begin with but I was mistaken. It IS indirectly the issue. Like stated in my quote the algae is feeding on the PO4 and it is killing your corals.

Just get the cheapest salt you can for cooking. You don't need RC. IO would be fine.

I also recommend trying to run a p04 sponge...and possibly see if you can get some chaeto to grow which will help w/ the p04 while it grows.
