So what DO sweeper tenticles sweep?
Do they catch food? if so what?
Defend it's territory, but only fights at night?

OK, this is what i have heard, now whether or not this is correct or the other slant to why they have sweepers is another question that i have not been able to asses completely.

most LPS need more than sunlight to survive in the wild. at night the little critters come out. the sweepers are to catch prey.

in the wild thay are not guaranteed the X number of hours of sunlight to get enough food. they have adapted the sweeper tentacles to get more food. the added bonus of clearing out unwanted intruder corals is a bonus.

Heh! At leaset you can download it in a reasonable amunt of time, I have all this access here and I'm stilll limited to about 50k...

I just cannot justify $120 a month for computer access via sattellite (equipment and fees for the first 18 months...), as there is no DSL out here, and cable is still several miles away (but getting closer...)

While we're on the subject, does anyone know of a reasonable satellite IP service that might be available nationally? Hughes.net (=Directway) as marketed locally is outrageous here, and although the service has improved dramatically, it is still a chunk of change both to get set up (~$800 for the equipment) and for the service ($60-$90 USD/mo)...
